Mexican Candy Shot Recipe

Ingredients

Tequila — ½ oz.

Lime (or lemon) juice — 1 oz.

Watermelon pucker or schnaps.

Tabasco hot sauce.

Sugar — 1 tbsp.

Ice — few cubes.

Lime — for rimming the glass, optional.

Tajin — for seasoning, optional.

Instructions

1. Combine the tequila, watermelon pucker, sugar, hot sauce, and a few ice cubes in a cocktail shaker.

2. Shake vigorously for approximately 40 seconds.

3. Wet the edges of your glass by rubbing a wedge of lime around the rim.

4. Immediately dip your glass into sugar.

6. Optional — Garnish with lime wedges.

7. Optional — Garnish with Tajin.

Substitutions

The tequila — Going with a 100% agave one is crucial for the best experience. Silver or Blanco tequila will help your budget. However, if you have room for it, gold tequila is a prime example.
