Party drinks don't have to be expensive, and this cheap jungle juice recipe is a prime example of that. Mixing your favorite spirits with your favorite juices, this one packs a heavy punch.

What’s even better is that our cheap jungle juice recipe allows you to customize it. Even if you’re not a fan of fruit punch, you could go with a simple fruit juice and still enjoy your drink. No vodka? No problem. Tequila and rum are always here to save the day. Oh, and pink lemonade does a fine job of adding some much-needed flair to the equation. Let’s take a look.

    Instructions

    1. Add the orange-flavored drink, fruit punch, pink lemonade, vodka, and orange slices into the punch bowl.
    1. Mix well using a cocktail spoon.
    1. Fill your serving glasses with ice, and garnish with strawberries and orange slices.

    Substitutions

    • Orange-flavored drink — Fanta comes to mind for this recipe, though any other orange soda will do the job nicely as well. If you’d rather go with a natural approach, orange juice, preferably homemade, will suit your drink nicely. If you’re feeling bolder, you might want to consider going with an orange liqueur such as triple sec, or maybe even Cointreau.
If you’d like to have your jungle juice stronger, albeit a bit more expensive, orange-flavored vodka might do an even better job. The same goes for orange-flavored gin and even for rum as well.
    • Fruit punch — Citrus punch, a combination of citrus fruits like orange and lime, is perhaps one of the more commonly used ones. Still, you will already be using an orange-flavored drink, and for some, that might be too much. If that’s the case with you, feel free to consider berry punch, which is a mix of cranberry, strawberry, and raspberry. Tropical punch, on the other hand, might bring a fresh air of breath to the table. A simple mix of mango, pineapple, and even passion fruit will fit in well with your jungle juice.
    • Vodka — Our cheap jungle juice recipe calls for vodka because it just works great. It has a neutral flavor and it blends in easily with the other liquids, which are more than a few, to say the least. Still, you would also be fine with using tequila, gin, or even brandy. However, you should also keep in mind that if you’ve opted for an alcoholic orange-flavored drink and would rather have your jungle juice a bit light, you could also consider a non-alcoholic beverage here, like Schnapps.

    Variations

    • Stronger — What makes this jungle juice cheap? Well, the spirits are not so fancy, and the rest are simple fruit punches and juices. Oh, and don’t forget about pink lemonade either. Still, just because it’s cheap doesn't mean it should be light as well. If you’re feeling like you need a bit more push, you might want to consider increasing the number of spirits. Vodka is an all-timer cocktail ingredient, but you don’t have to stop there. Feel free to go ahead and add gin, tequila, or maybe rum to your drink.

    Equipment

    • Punch bowl.
    • Measuring cups.
    • Cocktail spoon.
    • Serving glasses.

    Storage

    • Store your jungle juice in the fridge to keep it chilled and prevent spoilage.
    • Transfer any leftover jungle juice into an air-tight large container.

    Tips

    • Drink responsibly — This jungle juice cheap recipe works well for special days, especially when you’d rather avoid spending a ton of money. But keep in mind that it includes some cheap, but strong spirits, and it tends to hit hard and fast. Drink responsibly and be safe.
    • Sweeten it — Even though the fruit punch and the pink lemonade will certainly provide some much-needed taste, that just might not be enough for everyone. If that’s the case with you, add some sweeteners into the mix. Sugar, especially brown sugar will do a fine job, but you could also consider honey as well.
    • The fruit — This cheap jungle juice recipe calls for orange and strawberry, although that is up to your taste completely. However, use fresh fruits for the best results.
