    • Yellow onion — ¼ cup, medium-sized, chopped
    • Chicken broth — 4 cups
    • Garlic — 3 cloves

    Instructions

    1. In a blender, add the tomatoes, garlic cloves, chicken broth water, and onion. Blend it until a smooth consistency is formed. Strain it with a strainer. Place it aside.
    1. Cook the shell pasta in preheated oil for almost five minutes. When cooked, strain and set it aside to cool down.
    1. In the same pot, cook the chopped vegetables. Then add the ground beef and all the other seasonings. Cook it until browned.
    1. Now add the pasta and tomato broth you prepared earlier. Cook it on low flame until the pasta is fully cooked.
    1. Top the pasta with cilantro, lime juice, and avocado. Serve hot.

    Substitutions

    • Shell pasta — If you do not have shell pasta, then you can substitute it with elbow pasta. However, I would still recommend using shell pasta so that you can have that amazing taste in every bite.
    • Lemon juice — Lemon juice gives this pasta recipe a burst of freshness and has a great citrusy flavor. If you are in the mood for experimenting, you can opt for vinegar which will give the tartness to the pasta without changing the flavor.
    • Ground beef — Ground beef can be replaced with ground chicken or other meaty products. However, this recipe is famous for its combination with ground beef so I would highly recommend sticking with this ingredient.
