It’s green and it glows. That’s our Goblin Glow martini recipe for you. A Halloween favorite, the Goblin Glow martini is not only fairly easy to make but most of the ingredients are fairly accessible. Getting your hand on Midori might sound challenging, but we promise that it’s worth it. After all, what’s even the point if we’re not going to mix melon, coconut, and pineapple with some sparkling water? Make sure to check it out.

    1. Serve in cocktail glasses.

    Substitutions

    • Midori — This recipe for the Green Goblin cocktail calls for Midori, a famous melon-flavored liquor. We don’t recommend substituting this one, as Midori is an iconic ingredient that is famous for its use in this recipe. Cointreau, an orange-flavored liqueur, could be a reasonable substitute. The same also goes for triple sec, another orange liqueur. You could, theoretically, also make your own melon liqueur at home as well.
    • Club soda — Club soda adds some much-needed sparkle and also balances the flavor of the other ingredients. You would also be fine with tonic water, seltzer water, or even with ginger ale. Try and see which one works best for you.
    • Pineapple juice — Just like is the case with Midori, pineapple juice is another cornerstone ingredient in this Green Goblin drink. Don’t be afraid to swap pineapple juice for any other fruit juice. We’d recommend considering tropical juices like mango juice and papaya juice, but you would also be fine with the more traditional ones like apple juice and orange juice.

    Variations

    • Spicy — A small amount of hot sauce could be what you’re missing in your Goblin Grow martini recipe. If the idea of hot sauce in your cocktail goes for you, you might also want to consider using cayenne pepper as well. Try it out!
    • Herbal — Who said this Green Goblin cocktail can’t be healthier? Adding some herbs such as green chartreuse and yellow chartreuse might work well.

    Equipment

    • Punch bowl.
    • Cocktail spoon.
    • Measuring cup.
    • Cocktail glasses.

    Storage

    • Any unlikely leftover Goblin Glow martini should be transferred to an airtight container.
    • Stored in your fridge, it will last for a week.

    Tips

    • The glasses — For the best experience possible, make sure to chill your cocktail glasses beforehand. If that’s not enough for you, you could also add some ice to the equation.
    • Stir well — If you do not want to stir the ingredients until combined, you could also get away by shaking vigorously for half a minute in a cocktail jigger.
