    Instructions

    1. In a shaker, add ice cubes, syrup, and sake. Shake it well to combine all the ingredients.
    1. After the ingredients have been combined, add coconut water and water. Give it another good shake for the ingredients to combine.
    1. Take a cocktail glass, add some ice cubes to chill the cocktail, and then pour the mixture into it.
    1. Garnish the cocktail by placing a lime wedge on the rim of your glass or any way you want.
    1. Serve cold.

    Substitutions

    • Coconut water — This drink gets its sweet and refreshing flavor from coconut water. It works as a natural sweetener. It can be a healthier option to add to cocktails. But if you don't have coconut water available, you can still make this drink work by adding birch water, aloe vera juice, or sparkling water. However, I would still recommend using coconut water to experience the special taste of violet sake.
    • Plum sake — Plum sake gives violet sake a bright purple color and a fruity flavor for which it is famous. If you do not have plum sake, you can try other options like plum brandy or fruit liqueurs. The taste may not be the same as the original, though.
    • Desert pear syrup — Desert pear syrup adds extra sweetness to the cocktail. In case you do not have it or do not want your drink to be on the sweet side, then omit it or use a simple syrup.

    Variations

    • Sparkling violet sake — To make this drink the perfect partner for your celebrations, add sparkling water to it for a bubbly twist.
    • Grapefruit violet sake — For an extra fruity flavor, add grapefruit juice.

    Equipment

    • Cocktail shaker
    • Air-tight container
    • Cocktail glass

    Storage

    • To always have a refreshing taste, try to make the cocktail fresh. If you want to store batches of it, then pour it into an airtight container and place it into the fridge. It will last for up to 4 days.

    Pro Tips

    • Make sure to use high-quality products for the perfect and elevated flavor of the cocktail.
    • Strain the cocktail before pouring it into the cocktail glass to make sure there are no ice bits left.
    • Garnish it with a lime wedge or an edible flower to make the cocktail look more appealing.
