Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup dandelion flowers and roots
  • Vodka enough to fill the jar

Instructions
 

  • Pick dandelion flowers and roots, and place them in a Mason jar.
  • Fill the jar with vodka, making sure the flowers and roots are completely submerged.
  • Seal the jar and store it in a cool, dark place for at least two months.
  • After two months, strain the tincture through a cheesecloth or coffee filter.
  • Pour the tincture into a clean jar and store it in a cool, dark place.

Notes

  • What if you don’t want to use vodka? Almost every tincture recipe utilizes alcohol as an extractor and preservative. However, not everyone might be comfortable with using alcohol, either because of its taste or its effect on the body. If that is the case, we recommend using glycerin or vinegar as a substitute for vodka. Going with apple cider or distilled white vinegar is always a safe bet.
    We should mention that with the lack of alcohol, your dandelion tincture won’t be as durable as it could be.
