  • Serving glasses
  • Cocktail jigger
  • Cocktail strainer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ oz. tequila
  • ¾ oz. Cointreau
  • ¾ oz. Grand Marnier
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • 2 oz. sweet and sour mix
  • Olive for garnish
  • 1 pack ice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • Salt for rimming

Instructions
 

  • Before you start, chill the serving glasses.
  • Fill your cocktail shaker with ice at least halfway.
  • Add the other ingredients — tequila, Cointreau, Grand Marnier, lime juice, simple syrup, and the sweet and sour mix.
  • Shake the mixture for half a minute or so.
  • Rim the serving glasses with salt.
  • Using your strainer, pour the drink into the glasses.
  • Garnish with an olive if you’d like.

Notes

  • The glasses — Although this one might seem unimportant; we’d strongly recommend rimming the glasses with salt. This will improve both the flavor and the texture of your margarita. Another important thing is chilling the glasses beforehand. Indeed, you will already be using ice for some freshness, but it simply won’t be enough if your glasses are warm.
