Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. cayenne
  • 1 head garlic peeled and chopped
  • ¾ flour cup
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Combine the paprika, cayenne, and flour in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the shrimp on top, and make sure to coat well.
  • Melt some butter and oil, and heat in a frying pan.
  • Add the garlic first and cook for a few minutes.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for a few minutes on each side, until it is no longer pink.
  • While the shrimp is cooking, add the salt and pepper.

Notes

  • The garlic — Although it might be easy to overlook the garlic, it’s as important as the shrimp and the coating. We strongly recommend using fresh garlic and staying away from pre-minced ones. This will take your dish to another level.
 
  • The acidity — Although we might have mentioned that a splash of lemon juice could very well improve the seasoning of your dish, if you’d like to take things further, you might want to consider using wine or vinegar. Both will provide a richer flavor than your average lemon juice, making your Giovanni’s shrimp even better.
