- ½ cup tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp. onion powder
- ¼ cup cane sugar
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- ½ cup water
- 2 tsp. hot sauce
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- Sea salt to taste
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
Add the barbecue sauce, ketchup, and hot sauce to a saucepan, and heat to a medium flame. Add the sugar and mix till the mixture gets a little thin.
Add all other spices and let it simmer for a few minutes. When the sauce gets a bit thick, add lemon juice and cook for two minutes.
Turn off the stove when the sauce reaches the required thickness.
Let it cool for 30 minutes before using.
