Ingredients
  

  • 2 pcs. eggs
  • 1 tsp. granulated white sugar
  • 2 oz. melted butter
  • cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • Powdered sugar optional
  • Berries optional
  • Chocolate spread optional

Instructions
 

  • Beat the egg whites in a mixing bowl with a pinch of salt.
  • Slowly add the sugar, egg yolks, melted butter, and milk.
  • Incorporate the flour and mix.
  • Add the lemon zest and gently stir.
  • Set the waffle maker to medium heat.
  • Grease the bottom and the top with butter or spray with cooking oil.
  • Pour about one ladleful of the mixture and close the lid without spreading the batter. Cook for 4-5 minutes, depending on your waffle maker.
  • Remove them using a spatula, and serve with your preferred toppings.

  • Chilling the batter for approximately 10 minutes before cooking will allow the ingredients to meld, resulting in a denser batter and fluffier waffles.
 
  • The suitable quantity of batter for your waffle maker may vary depending on its size and capacity. To determine the precise amount, it's best to conduct a few test runs by beginning with a small quantity and gradually increasing it until you achieve the desired waffle size.
 
  • The waffles will become crispy when you place them on a plate. Do not cover them or place them one on top of the other or they will soften.
