Mix the milk, cake mix, and melted butter with a hand whisk in a bowl. Whisk until the mixture is incorporated, and there are no big lumps. Be careful not to over-mix.
Oil the surface with a cooking oil spray.
Pour the batter into the center of the waffle iron. Do not fill the whole surface. Leave an inch empty at the sides. This will prevent the batter from oozing from the sides of the iron.
Watch closely to avoid overcooking. The batter will release steam after a short time you press the waffle iron. When that steam goes away, you can check if it's cooked through. The waffle should come off easily.
Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
Place the waffles on serving plates. Sprinkle the mixed berries over the waffles and drizzle honey on top.
