Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets skin-on or skinless, depending on your preference
  • ½ cup Trader Joe's Soyaki sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger grated
  • 2 Green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, grated ginger, and thinly sliced green onions. Set aside.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets.
  • Brush the salmon fillets generously with Trader Joe's Soyaki sauce, making sure to coat them evenly.
  • Sprinkle the garlic, ginger, and green onion mixture over the glazed salmon fillets.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired level of doneness. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  • Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
  • Serve the Soyaki glazed salmon hot with your favorite side dishes, such as steamed rice and stir-fried vegetables.

Notes

  • Marinate for extra flavor — For an even more intense flavor, marinate the salmon fillets in Trader Joe's Soyaki sauce for 30 minutes to 1 hour before cooking. This allows the flavors to penetrate the fish and enhances the overall taste.

  • Grill it — If you prefer a smoky flavor and beautiful grill marks, you can cook the Soyaki glazed salmon on a preheated grill instead of baking it. Just make sure to oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

  • Adjust the cooking time — The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets. Keep an eye on them while baking and adjust the cooking time accordingly. Overcooked salmon can become dry, so it's better to slightly undercook it and let it rest to finish cooking off the heat.

  • Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon — For a burst of freshness and acidity, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the Soyaki glazed salmon just before serving. The citrusy tang complements the flavors beautifully.
