Some would say that waffles are probably the best breakfast food you can get. Warm, soft, and buttery; the best thing about waffles is that they can always get better. This Herbalife waffle recipe is the best example.
Yes, waffles are usually heavy on the calorie side and lighter on nutritional value, but that was before our Herbalife waffle recipe. With some Herbalife protein bake mix combined with Herbalife Formula 1, this could easily work as a pre-workout snack, or just a healthy breakfast filled with protein. What’s even better is that when it comes to toppings, there is simply no limit.

Substitutions
- Almond milk — Although the original Herbalife waffle recipe calls for almond milk, you could easily make some changes. Soy milk is quite similar to almond milk, and it will provide a similar texture, though with a neutral flavor. Oat milk, on the other hand, will provide a rich and smooth texture to your waffle, and the flavor is a bit sweeter. Coconut milk could be considered as well, but you will end up with a slight hint of coconut flavor.
- Oat flour — Admittedly, oat flour is not as popular as all-purpose flour, but it has its perks. Herbalife seems to think this way too, as their waffle recipe calls for oat flour. It will bring a nutty flavor with a dense texture to the table. You could also use almond flour, although keep in mind that it has a much higher fat content. Rice flour and buckwheat flour will work well too, and you should probably consider using coconut flour as well. All of those, including oat flour too, are gluten-free too.
Toppings
- Any waffle recipe is simply incomplete without proper toppings, and that’s not what we have in mind for this Herbalife waffle recipe. While you can’t go wrong with toppings like maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh fruits, you could also consider topping your Herbalife waffle with peanut butter, chocolate chips, ice cream, or even with powdered sugar!
Equipment
- Measuring spoons and cups.
- Blender.
- Whisk.
- Waffle iron.
- Mixing bowl.
Storage
- Allow your Herbalife waffles to cool completely.
- Place the waffles on a plate or a baking sheet, and cover tightly with aluminum foil or plastic wrap.
- They will last for between 2-3 days in your fridge.
Tips
- The waffle iron — Your waffle iron matters. What is even more important is preheating and greasing your waffle iron. A lightly greased one will result in proper waffles with a good texture, and that is what this Herbalife waffle recipe is all about.
- Pouring the waffles — Well, although this one might seem unimportant, you might want to pour the waffles into the center of your waffle iron, and then spread it from there, evenly.
