    Substitutions

    • Olive oil — Are you out of olive oil? Try using vegetable, rapeseed, safflower, peanut, or canola oil which are neutral high-heat oils, making them the perfect choices for our Monster Mash recipe.
    • Vegetables — Ditch the vegetables mentioned above and add vegetables of your own choice, if you are in the mood to experiment. You can add onions, other bell peppers, and much more.
    • Sweet potatoes — Running out of sweet potatoes or maybe you just want to try something different for a change? You can use garnet potato, butternut squash, or even pumpkin to give the dish a new flavor.

    Variations

    • Make it vegetarian — For all the vegetarians out there, you can make a vegetarian version of Monster Mash by avoiding the beef and using vegetable broth instead of beef bone broth.
    • For extra flavor — Add a little bit of cream or water to give the Monster Mash a creamy flavor that everyone loves.
    • Add up the spice — Here is a variation for all the spice lovers. Spice your Monster Mash by adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce to it.
